Care Resource is uniquely positioned to assist transgender, genderqueer, and gender-diverse individuals with their healthcare management needs and much more. Our medical providers are trained in gender-affirming hormone therapy administration and management.
Primary Care
Care Resource primary medical care providers offer high-quality, affordable medical management of common primary care conditions ranging from screening and treatment for cholesterol and sexually transmitted infections to the management of hypertension/diabetes/asthma and other primary care conditions. We see anyone regardless of their diagnosis and offer services on a sliding fee scale based on household income and family size.
Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy
Our primary care medical providers are trained in the management of gender-affirming hormone therapy and follow the Endocrine Treatment of Gender Dysphoric/Gender-Incongruent Persons: An Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guideline.
Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Treatment
Care Resource therapists are State of Florida registered or licensed and meet the competency requirements for behavioral health professionals contained in the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care for the Health of Transsexual, Transgender, and Gender-Nonconforming People, Version 7. Our culturally competent therapists provide information and support through assessment and treatment if needed.
Dental
Oral health care is an important part of overall good health. Problems with teeth and gums if left untreated, may cause serious complications. Seeing a dentist every six months for a check-up and cleaning, even if you aren’t having problems, is affordable at Care Resource. Our quality dentists provide exceptional care to everyone.
Case Management
All patients can see one of our case managers and get assistance in applying for benefits, accessing their medication or support in finding community resources to meet their needs.
