National Condom Week, from February 14-21, serves as an opportunity to further awareness about the importance of consistent condom use as a crucial measure of protection. Beginning on Valentine’s Day, this week prioritizes sexual health.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), each year, throughout the United States, there are 19 million new cases of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), with nearly half occurring among individuals aged 15-24. The CDC also shows that among individuals aged 15-19, 35.6% of women and 53.5% of men reported using condoms consistently, compared to only 10.9% of women and 9.4% of men aged 35-44.
