Vanessa Rojas, MD, Associate Medical Director, Primary Care Physician

Biography

Dr. Vanessa Rojas serves as the Associate Medical Director at Care Resource, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to providing comprehensive healthcare to underserved populations across South Florida. A native of Queens, New York, Dr. Rojas brings a wealth of experience in Family Medicine, HIV care, and community health outreach.

She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Her passion for HIV care led her to pursue advanced training through the HIV Clinical Fellowship Program under the HIV Medical Association, part of the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA). She is also a credentialed HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.

Dr. Rojas has worked with multiple organizations throughout the New York City Tri-state area, gaining extensive experience in HIV prevention, treatment, and patient-centered care. Her dedication to global health is reflected in her participation in medical missions to Louisiana (post-Hurricane Katrina), Appalachia, and Guatemala, where she provided essential care to vulnerable communities.

She is passionate about integrating primary care and HIV medicine, helping patients living with HIV achieve long, healthy lives. Her work at the Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Center has also equipped her to care for pregnant women living with HIV, supporting the WHO’s goal of eliminating mother-to-child transmission.

Outside of her clinical leadership, Dr. Rojas enjoys traveling, fitness, and spending time with her dog Twix and her family.
