A Positive Economic Impact on South Florida

MIAMI, FL.  (AUGUST  2018)  – The Florida Association of Community Health Centers (FACHC) determined that the overall estimated economic impact of Care Resource in 2017 was $83.5 million. There is an additional return on investment of $0.73 for each $1.00 invested in Care Resource.

Care Resource acts as a valuable employer, accounting for 587 jobs in 2017. In addition to the 329 positions at the health center (direct jobs), the seven locations also contribute to 257 additional indirect/induced jobs as a result of re-spending of monies throughout the community, at large.

Care Resource continues to not only make a positive economic impact on South Florida’s economy but also takes health care far beyond its usual definition. The Health Center provides comprehensive preventive services and screenings, and a range of social support services to address the needs of the community’s pediatric, adolescent and adult populations with approaches that attend to the whole health needs of patients – both physical and psycho-social.
