Biography
Michelle Middleton brings over a decade of experience in healthcare and community service to the Care Resource Board of Directors. She joined the board in 2024, inspired by a lifelong commitment to supporting individuals affected by HIV—a mission rooted in her personal journey. Michelle’s mother lost her life to HIV in the early 1990s due to a blood transfusion, motivating her to honor her legacy by working toward a future with zero new HIV infections, no one left behind in accessing medical care, and no child losing a parent due to preventable deaths.
In addition to her role at Care Resource, Michelle is the co-founder and Physician Assistant of SPOKEmed, a medical practice specializing in wellness and weight management, which she launched in 2024. Through SPOKEmed, she empowers patients to take control of their health and thrive by preventing and managing lifestyle-related diseases.
Michelle has also served on the board of the Food for Life Network since 2013, contributing to efforts that address food insecurity for individuals living with HIV. As a healthy habits coach since 2022, she uses her personal weight loss transformation to inspire others, helping them achieve vitality and fulfillment in their lives. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, Michelle is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care and connecting with diverse communities.
Her vision centers on eliminating barriers to health and ensuring every individual and family has the opportunity to live a vibrant, healthy life.
