Gabriela Sangiovanni, DMD

Dr. Gabriela Sangiovanni was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She and her family migrated to the United States when she was very young, but she still held on to her Latin roots very closely. She was raised speaking mostly Spanish, learned to dance merengue, salsa, and bachata, and eating delicious Hispanic food. Growing up, she was always involved in various clubs and community service projects in school.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the Honors College of Miami Dade College for her Associate’s degree and Florida International University Honors College for her Bachelor’s degree. During her tenure at FIU, she majored in Psychology, and minored in Chemistry and Nutrition. She went on to receive a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Barry University. Thereafter, she relocated to Boston, MA, to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to become a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Following dental school, she worked as an associate dentist in Miami, Florida, where she treated patients of all ages and varying medical complexities, with a focus on advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

Community service has always been an important part of her journey to becoming a dentist. Throughout her dental school career, she was very involved in community service projects that involved serving the local communities with dental education and dental services. She had the opportunity to travel abroad to her home country for a Global service trip to provide free dental care to one of the many underserved communities in the D.R. These experiences, along with many others, have led her to her passion for public health to help the underserved.

Dr. Sangiovanni truly enjoys her profession and applying her knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and educate patients on the importance of oral health. She is committed to providing every patient with the highest quality of dental care. Through compassion, education, and understanding, she will ensure every patient feels comfortable and helps them achieve their best and healthiest version of themselves.

Outside of the office, Dr. Sangiovanni enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, dancing, exercising, going to the beach, and striving to be the best dog mom to her grouchy chihuahua and crazy Goldendoodle.
