Vanessa Rucky, MS, RMHCI, Clinical Counselor I

Biography

Vanessa Rucky is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) who provides therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Born and raised in Brazil, she has also lived in Panama, Spain, and Canada, and has called the United States home since 2011. Her diverse cultural background allows her to connect with people from all walks of life and bring a compassionate, inclusive perspective to her work.

Vanessa earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She has experience providing individual and group therapy in community mental health and correctional settings, supporting trauma survivors, individuals navigating reentry, and those facing anxiety, depression, major life transitions, and other life stressors.

In addition to her clinical training, Vanessa spent more than 20 years in international business consulting. This experience strengthened her understanding of human resilience, relationships, and the unique challenges people face across cultures and life experiences.

Vanessa’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and strengths-based, integrating evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique needs. She believes that healing occurs within a collaborative and trusting relationship, where in therapy clients feel supported to navigate life’s challenges, build on their strengths, and develop a foundation for meaningful and lasting growth.
