Biography
Rafael Jimenez is the Chief Social Services Officer at Care Resource and Food for Life Network, Inc., two leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving community health and wellness in South Florida. With over 15 years of experience in social services leadership, Rafael has played a pivotal role in expanding access to medical case management, HIV/AIDS support services, and food security programs across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Rafael began his career at Care Resource in 2008 as a volunteer and quickly advanced through the ranks, serving as a Medical Case Manager, Senior Medical Case Manager, Supervisor, and Manager of the Case Management Department. His leadership and dedication led to his appointment as Director of Social Services and Food for Life Network, Inc., where he successfully integrated food assistance with holistic health services for underserved populations.
Before joining Care Resource, Rafael worked at Pasadena Mental Health Center, a nonprofit mental health provider in California, and was later recruited by College Hospital Cerritos to launch a culturally responsive Latino Program serving the Hispanic community in Los Angeles County. His early career also includes a successful tenure in the Southern California grocery industry, where he developed operational and management skills that now support his strategic oversight of food distribution programs.
Rafael has lived in Miami since 2007 and has strong family ties to the area dating back to 1990. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Azusa Pacific University.
As Chief Social Services Officer, Rafael continues to champion community-based care, and comprehensive support services for vulnerable populations throughout South Florida.
