Men’s Health Month is a time to take control of your health. Every June, Care Resource highlights the importance of early detection and healthy habits for men.Men in the U.S. live five years less than women. They face higher risks of heart disease, cancer, and unintentional injuries. Men’s Health Month encourages men to act early and make lasting changes.Care Resource offers free basic exams and lab work for new patients without insurance. These services help detect health issues before they become serious. To schedule an appointment, call 305-576-1234 (Ext. 470 for English, 471 for Spanish).

“Men should use this month to take stock of their health,” says Gloria Cabral, RD, LDN. “Set small goals. Eat more vegetables. Build muscle. Lose weight. Work with a care team to stay on track.”

Awareness of men’s health also promotes long-term wellness. Exercise, nutrition, and mental health support are key. Care Resource provides education, prevention, and treatment to help men live longer, healthier lives.

This June, take the first step to start your wellness journey. Small changes today can lead to a healthier future.
