Biography
Jared True, a dedicated Clinical Counselor I at Care Resource Broward, brings a compassionate and evidence-based approach to mental health care. He earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, where he built a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and cultural competency.
Throughout his academic journey, Jared collaborated with mentors and peers from diverse backgrounds, which shaped his inclusive and empathetic counseling style. His passion for mental health grew during four years of hands-on work with adults facing obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and related conditions. By applying behavior-focused strategies, he discovered his purpose: helping individuals improve their quality of life.
Jared has also delivered individual counseling in community mental health settings, supporting court-mandated clients of all ages. He has addressed challenges such as anger management, parenting, domestic violence, and a wide range of mental health conditions. His therapeutic approach integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques through an Adlerian lens, emphasizing personal growth, independence, and social connection.
Jared believes every person deserves a fulfilling life and recognizes the difficulties many face in today’s fast-paced world—especially those struggling with mental health or lacking support. He works closely with clients to identify and overcome barriers that prevent them from living meaningfully.
To Jared, a diagnosis doesn’t define a person—it simply points to an issue that can be resolved. As he puts it: “It’s a war with an invisible enemy, and you don’t have to face that enemy alone.”
