How At-Home HIV Testing Expands Access to Care

Yet for many individuals, barriers such as transportation, scheduling conflicts, privacy concerns, stigma, or limited access to healthcare can make testing more difficult.

To help address these challenges, Care Resource offers an at-home HIV testing program that brings testing directly to individuals throughout South Florida. The program expands access to HIV testing while helping connect people to prevention services, treatment, and ongoing healthcare support.

Bringing Care to the Community

Traditional healthcare services do not always meet the needs of every individual. At-home testing creates a more accessible option for those who may be unable or unwilling to visit a testing site in person.

Through the program, participants receive guidance from trained testing counselors who provide support throughout the testing process and help ensure individuals understand their results and next steps.

By reducing barriers to care, the program helps more people access essential HIV prevention and testing services.
