Care Resource Observes National Immunization Awareness Month

Practicing Proactive Prevention through Routine Vaccination

no contact temperature checkCare Resource is observing National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM). In light of the current pandemic, the health center encourages individuals of all ages to stay up to date on recommended vaccines and receiving them in a safe manner. Although many of us are focused on keeping ourselves safe from COVID-19 transmission, we must not neglect the vaccinations that protect us against other serious illnesses.

At Care Resource, we value our patients’ holistic health. Vaccines can defend against illnesses that threaten our sexual health, general wellness, and overall quality of life. The vaccine for Human Papillomavirus (HPV), a preventable virus, is recommended for children ages 11-12 and protects them from developing certain types of cancers later in life. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the HPV vaccination for everyone through age 26 years, if not vaccinated already.

The HPV vaccine is just one vital vaccination. Be sure to protect against measles, shingles, and influenza. This year, take the time to discuss which vaccines you may need for your age, health, conditions, job, or lifestyle with one of our medical providers.

Care Resource medical providers can guide you and your family in deciding which vaccinations best meet your needs. Connect with us by calling (305) 576-1234 and requesting a telehealth appointment. Before the appointment, download the Zoom app to your Android or iOS device, or visit Zoom.US from your computer. When it is time for your appointment, the provider will call you with your meeting ID number.

Following a telehealth session, receive curbside vaccinations while staying safe from COVID-19 transmission. This year, you still have the power to protect yourself against pneumonia, flu, and more. Choose prevention and choose wellness. Our entire team is here to help you and your family through this time by providing reliable and safe access to vaccinations when you need them.
