Care Resource Announces CEO Retirement and Succession Plan

Rick Siclari to retire after 25 Years Serving as the Health Center’s CEO

MIAMI, (March 29, 2023) – Care Resource has announced that Rick Siclari, their Chief Executive Officer for twenty-five years, is retiring.

Rick Siclari, MBA CEODuring Siclari’s tenure, Care Resource has responded to the needs of the community by providing life-changing patient care, while expanding its range of medical specialties, and investing in technology and infrastructure to remain on the cutting edge of community health care. He also spearheaded the successful corporate merger of the former Health Crisis Network (HCN) and Community Research Initiative of South Florida (CRI) into the present-day Care Resource.

Moreover, services have grown to include primary medical care, dental and pediatric services, behavioral health, case management, and other crucial support services. At the same time, the health center has become recognized as a Health Center Quality Leader exceeding national clinical quality benchmarks or chronic disease management and preventive care.

In fact, according to the Florida Association of Community Health Centers, in 2021, Care Resource’s growth has translated into 74,600 visits to 16,800 unduplicated patients, Additionally, its health centers accounted for 844 jobs in 2021 throughout its service area, providing jobs both in Care Resource health centers and throughout the neighborhoods and communities in which they are located. In addition to the 286 direct jobs, 278 additional indirect/induced jobs were sustained because of activity generated by its health centers and staff.

Under his watch, Siclari oversaw the $33 million expansion and renovation of Care Resource’s Midtown Miami Health Center and Administrative Headquarters located at 3510 Biscayne Blvd. This expansion transformed the health center’s existing 22,000-square-foot two-story building into a 55,000-square-foot, seven-story state-of-the-art community health center, bringing all its services under one roof.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, the management team, and Care Resource 350+ employees, we want to thank Rick for his leadership and his impact for almost three decades with the health center,” said Russell Corbett, President, and Chair of Care Resource’s Board of Directors. “A steadfast and strategic leader, Rick has guided Care Resource since 1998. The Board is sincerely grateful to Rick for his dedication to Care Resource and wishes him nothing but the best in this next chapter. A succession planning process is being led by the Board with the help of an independent external management consultant.”

“It has been an honor to serve as CEO of Care Resource. Many thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey. The future that I have been instrumental in building is one of innovation and state-of-the-art healthcare at its best. Care Resource is now poised to continue its history of care for the most vulnerable in our communities.
