Biography
Dr. Amanda Colonneaux originates from Nassau, Bahamas. At the tender age of 8 years old, she decided that she wanted to become a dentist. Through faith, hard work, and dedication, she was able to accomplish her goal.
Upon graduating High School, she completed her undergraduate studies at Florida Memorial University, where she obtained a B.S. in Biology. Thereafter, she relocated to Milwaukee, WI, to attend Marquette University School of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2016. Following dental school, she completed a Postdoctoral Residency Program with NYU Langone Dental Medicine at their satellite location, the University of Tennessee, in Memphis, TN. In 2017, she finished her residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
Throughout her dental school career, she had the opportunity to practice dentistry at various Community Health Centers. This experience led her to discover her purpose in the dental field, which is to serve the underserved. Since graduating from dental school, she has been practicing in the public health sector. Dr. Colonneaux is passionate about dentistry and transforming the lives of others through her work.
