A Clinical Workshop with Representatives from Community Health Leaders
In October, Care Resource hosted Health Choice Network (HCN) for a site visit during the HCN’s Clinical Leaders Workshop. The workshop included representatives from Community Health Centers of Pinellas, Empower U, Citrus Health Network, Inc., Broward Community, and Family Health Centers, as well as Borinquen Medical Centers.
This Clinical Leadership Workshop was a three-day event that featured a site visit to one of the network’s partner community health centers. This visit provided clinical leaders within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) with an opportunity to further improve quality development continuously. Agenda items included topics on health center structure, managing teams and providers, quality efforts at the health center, and value-based care.
Ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic in South Florida is a top clinical priority of HCN. The network identified Care Resource for its leadership in providing access to HIV prevention and treatment in underserved and high-risk communities.
“The information gathered from Care Resource’s experiences will be spread to other health centers. It’s important to share information and help each other. Health centers should continue to collaborate. The goal is to bring clinical leaders together and share promising practices in order to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic.”-Timothy Long, Chief Clinical Officer, Health Choice Network
