Biography
Jimena Lozada De La Peña is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Through her graduate training, she developed a strong foundation in a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques to support individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
Prior to joining Care Resource, Jimena worked in a community mental health setting, providing care to children, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health concerns.
Her therapeutic style is integrative and collaborative, grounded in a person‑centered approach. She has experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy- informed (DBT-informed) skills, and has facilitated group therapy using reminiscence‑based interventions for older adults with memory disorders.
Jimena is fluent in both English and Spanish and is able to conduct therapy sessions in either language. She believes that creating a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard and understood is one of the most meaningful aspects of her work as a counselor.
