Building Healthier Communities and Safeguarding Personal Well-Being

National Immunization Month 2024August is National Immunization Awareness Month

This awareness month serves as an opportunity to reflect on the role vaccinations play in safeguarding health and well-being. Vaccines are a key defense against diseases that can impact sexual health, general wellness, and quality of life. Protection against diseases like measles, shingles, and influenza is crucial.

National Immunization Awareness Month also serve as a reminder to take the time to discuss vaccination needs with a Care Resource medical provider. Whether it’s for a health conditions, a job, or lifestyle, the health center’s medical team can help one determine the best vaccination plan for their family.

“Vaccination is a cornerstone of modern medicine, offering protection against infectious diseases. It’s not just a shot; it’s protection for individuals and communities alike. By boosting our immune systems, vaccines help us fight off harmful pathogens, keeping everyone safer and healthier—it’s our first step in building healthier communities.” – Steven Santiago, MD, Chief Medical Officer

Care Resource also offers all necessary back-to-school vaccinations. The health center’s medical team can help guide patients through the vaccination schedule and requirements for school-age children.
