Biography
Mailin Anton was born on a tiny island off the coast of Cuba. In her youth, she was active in swimming and tennis. She graduated from the University of Havana in 1996 and started her career as a general dentist in her hometown’s public health centers.
In 2002, Dr. Anton moved to Chile and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Chile. She worked at private dental offices and rural public health centers for 10 years, eventually moving to Florida with her family in 2011.
After immigrating to the United States, she started working as a dental hygienist. In 2018, she was accepted to the AEGD Program at the Larkin Community Hospital helping underserved and hard-to-reach populations throughout Central Florida, obtaining her (third!) dental license.
After graduating in 2020, she started working with the elderly at the La Colonia Medical Center, utilizing her experience in prosthodontics, surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. She was later re-assigned to work at La Colonia’s specialty centers performing root canal treatments and crowns.
Dr. Anton loves her profession and enjoys restoring her patient’s smiles and dental health. In her free time, she enjoys sharing time with her family and friends, going to the beach, and cooking.
