Biography
Menachem Olensky is a Peer Specialist at Care Resource’s Broward Health Center. He works in collaboration with various organizations in South Florida to provide a Recovery Oriented System of Care for his peers. Furthermore, Menachem has worked closely with the clinical and Management team to develop a MAT Orientation Series that focuses on developing early recovery tools that can help sustain long-term recovery for individuals seeking to live a happy sober lifestyle. The series allows him to provide targeted care to individuals struggling with social disparities, mental health, and substance use disorder.
Menachem has a comprehensive understanding of the 12-step recovery program and has served as the business chairperson and has intensive experience running recovery sports groups in Dade County and Broward. In addition, he has provided recovery mentorships and life coaching support through lived experience.
Menachem Olensky is fluent in both English and Hebrew. His lived experience with Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder substance abuse makes him an essential asset to our diverse client population. He has a passion to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and is seeking to continue his education in Psychology and MH services at Excelsior University in NYC.
During his free time, Menachem enjoys practicing Yoga, engaging in Deep Meditation Practice and is active in his recovery journey, public speaking, and mentoring individuals in recovery.
Menachem states, “My goal is to bring love and positivity into my life and the lives of those around me. Every day is an opportunity to achieve this goal.”
