According to Dr. Zayas, “The health center is committed to the health and well-being of the transgender community. Our goal is to provide quality, compassionate, and informed care for our transgender patients. We serve transgender people, and people at various places on the spectrum of gender identity and expression. We are committed to delivering health care in our region and we proudly work together with our transgender community to lead the way in eliminating barriers to care.”
Care Resource’s Health Promotion team will be onsite providing no-cost rapid HIV testing services on Saturday, August 7 from 9:00am – 2:00pm. On Sunday, August 8, the health center’s medical team will also offer the Pfizer vaccines for individuals 12 years of age and older. There is no-cost and no out-of-pocket expense to receive a vaccine.
