Marisela Watanabe, D.O., Primary Care Physician

Biography

Dr. Marisela Watanabe has lived and worked in Venezuela, Nicaragua, Brazil, Japan, and Illinois developing long-lasting relationships in the diverse communities in which she served.

Dr. Watanabe graduated from Loyola University Chicago and studied medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her Family Medicine residency at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois, Dr. Watanabe practiced in a multispecialty group in Chicago. This allowed her to care for a broad spectrum or patient-groups including but not limited to: newborn, adolescent, adult and elder-age populations. Moreover, in her practice, she was the Spanish-speaking liaison to the patients at the clinic.

According to Dr. Watanabe, “I am passionate about working with a compassionate and competent team of providers and further serve South Florida’s diverse populations in need. I make it a point to consider the whole person — body, mind, spirit, and emotions — in the quest for optimal health and wellness.”
