Biography
A practicing attorney and non-practicing certified public accountant, Jay Beskin is a partner at the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale law firm of Rarick & Beskin, P.A. He concentrates his practice in business, taxation and trusts and estates.
Jay received his B.S.F.S. from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, his J.D. from Washington University (St. Louis) School of Law and his C.P.A. from the University of Illinois. He is a member of the Florida, Illinois, and District of Columbia Bars. He is a former adjunct professor of law at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
From 1996 through 2005, Jay served on the Aventura City Commission, and he served two terms as Vice Mayor of Aventura. His other community activities include serving as board member and treasurer of Jewish Council for Youth Services, chair of the Planned Giving Committee of the United Way of Broward County and president of the Northeast Dade Coalition.
Jay has been on the Board of Food for Life Network since 1993 and on the Board of Care Resource since 2013.
