COVID-19 Re-Entry Plan

Maintaining Patient Safety Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic

Elderly sitting in chairs Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our health center has kept abreast of updates concerning the nature of the virus and transmission, national and local mandates concerning quarantine and social distancing guidelines, and FQHC-specific concerns.

Our health center created a Reopen and Reentry Safety Plan, following information available from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the State of Florida. Onsite, our patients will be guided through our altered policies and practices by our staff.

We altered our services by expanding tele-medicine in order to minimize the number of patients in our health centers at one time. Onsite, we implement best practices for deep cleaning and disinfecting during a pandemic. All of our health center locations undergo daily cleanings in order to ensure the comfort and safety of patients who prefer in-person visits. When these visits are necessary, patients are protected from COVID-19 transmission from the beginning to the end of their visit and from our waiting rooms to exam rooms. Patients can visit our health center locations assured that we are prioritizing the health of employees and patients alike, screening all individuals who enter our locations for COVID-19 symptoms. Waiting rooms feature sneeze guards and seating arrangements that comply with social distancing guidelines.

Additionally, while on our premises, all individuals are required to wear face masks. We have also adjusted our visitor policies to prioritize patients seeking services and reduce transmission. Currently, only one visitor is permitted to accompany a patient per visit.

We can assure patients who choose to visit our health centers that we have made thoughtful changes to our operations. As the pandemic evolves, changes in operation reflect our commitment to responding to a new normal. In responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, Care Resource is reaching our patients where they are and responding to their specific needs and concerns. We are all in this together, committed to one another’s safety and well-being. With this reassurance, we look forward to seeing you at our health centers.
