Delta Dental Community Care Foundation Awards Care Resource $20,000 to Support COVID-19 Relief Efforts
Delta Dental Community Care Foundation contributed $20,000 to Care Resource to support the emergency needs of vulnerable patients and clients in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The funding helped seed Care Resource’s Emergency Assistance Fund, which provided direct support to medically underserved and uninsured individuals and families across South Florida.
“Delta Dental Community Care Foundation seeks to build caring, resilient communities across our entire service area of 15 states and the District of Columbia, and we want to ensure that our funding has an impact. Care Resource is providing vital services to individuals who need them most, and we are proud to partner with them and help them carry out this important and impactful work.”
Kenzie Ferguson
Vice President of Foundation and Corporate Social Responsibility, Delta Dental of California
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Emergency Assistance Fund provided food vouchers, urgent housing assistance, telehealth services, and COVID-19 testing for uninsured and unemployed patients facing significant hardships.
“Many of our clients are at risk of losing their homes and are going without vital food supplies to try and meet their housing payments. This is a critical time for us to provide a helping hand, and we’re grateful for Delta Dental’s support.”
Rafael Jimenez
Director of Social Services, Care Resource
The support received from Delta Dental Community Care Foundation helped Care Resource respond to urgent community needs during one of the most challenging public health crises in recent history.
