Ana Toro, RMHCI, Clinical Counselor I (Little Havana)

Biography

Ana Toro, RMHCI, is a bilingual clinical counselor (Spanish and English) with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and groups.
Ana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Colombia and later completed her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Carlos Albizu University in Miami. This enhanced her approach to mental health by drawing from a variety of perspectives.
She is known for her empathic listening, proactive style, and compassionate presence.
Ana creates a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to reconnect with their inner strength and take an active role in their healing journey.
She serves as a guiding light, helping each move forward with clarity and intention.
Ana integrates a Person-Centered Approach, creating a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and empowered to lead their healing.
She also draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns.
She uses Motivational Interviewing to support clients in exploring their motivation for change, particularly during moments of ambivalence or transition.
Her work is guided by evidence-based practices that are tailored to each person’s emotional, relational, and developmental needs.
“Healing is a journey, not a destination, and every step forward is progress.”
