Biography
Will Flaxman, LMHC, NCC was born and raised in the Philippines he received his Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has been working in community mental health since 2011. He is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors.
Will began his work in the field as a technician working in a forensics group home for individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses. He later supervised a residential facility for Veterans with PTSD receiving treatment through the Bay Pines VA. He worked as the Senior Housing Specialist for a multiagency pilot program for high utilizers in Pinellas County. He also managed a program providing intensive services to over two-hundred and fifty individuals with chronic mental illnesses living in HUD 811 housing.
Will uses the evidence-based practices of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT,) Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT,) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT,) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR.)
