Biography
Mimose Montgomery affectionately goes by “Mimi” received her Master of Clinical Social Work Degree at Barry University in 2017. She is a bilingual (speaking Haitian-Creole as well as English) generalist psychotherapist with over 6 years of experience. Four of those years she developed her skills while working private practice, seeing people from all walks of life.
Her clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Moreover, she has worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and other co-occurring psychiatric conditions. She is a trauma informed therapist and is passionate about her work.
Mimi is a compassionate therapist who utilizes evidenced based practices such as (but is not limited to) Person Centered Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Bowenian Family Therapy and Paradoxical Therapy to meet the various needs of her client population.
