MIAMI, FL. (July 19, 2018) – Care Resource, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties has awarded Clear Health Alliance, a Simply Healthcare affiliate, with the Community Partner Plaque. The award is in recognition of the $30,255 raised by Clear Health Alliance for the 30th Anniversary of AIDS Walk Miami. The funds will support Care Resources mission to provide education, prevention, research, care and treatment and support services.
“We are extremely grateful to our friends at Clear Health Alliance and Simply Healthcare for surpassing our expectations in this year’s fundraising efforts,” said Jonathan Welsh, Marketing and Development Manager, Care Resource.
To raise funds for the AIDS Walk Miami, the Clear Health Alliance team held several events, including a successful waffle and bake sale, a pie-throwing contest and a dunk tank competition. Clear Health Alliance offers HIV/AIDS Specialty Plans in 60 counties throughout the state.
“Our support of this year’s AIDS Walk Miami exemplifies the commitment of the Clear Health Alliance team to making a positive difference in the lives of those living with HIV and AIDS,” said Lourdes Rivas, President of Clear Health Alliance and Simply Healthcare Medicaid. “Through our work with great organizations such as Care Resource, we are able to help improve quality of life and well-being by ensuring consumers have access to educational materials as well as the health care support programs they need.”
