Biography
Dr. Patrice Yang obtained her undergraduate degree from Yale University. She then worked in community health as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Burkina Faso (West Africa) before going on to earn her Medical Doctor and Masters in Public Health degrees from Emory University.
Aiming to provide the most-needed care for the most under-served groups, Dr. Yang sought training in broad-spectrum Family Medicine at Contra Costa County in Northern California.
In Dr. Yang’s passion for providing health care to under-served communities, she has worked in safety-net systems in California, Florida, Hawaii and Alaska. She has also continued to work globally in India, Haiti, Nicaragua and most recently with Doctors Without Borders in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Dr. Yang has been Board Certified in Family Medicine and credentialed as an HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine since 2009.
Before joining the Care Resource team, she taught residents at UM and medical students at FIU. She is proud to work alongside compassionate and committed colleagues at Care Resource.
