Join the Broward Health Department’s HIV Prevention Planning Council, along with Care Resource Providers and Biomedical Advisory Group team on Friday, September 27 at the Bonaventure Resort located on 250 Racquet Club Road in Weston, Florida for the 2nd annual EPIC Summit. The event is from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is NO-COST for all participants.
The objectives of the summit are to:
• Increase Education Regarding Biomedical Interventions for the Prevention of HIV
• Increase Collaboration and Cohesion among stakeholders
• Increase the use of Biomedical Prevention Strategies (such as PrEP and PEP), and
• Decrease Stigma Regarding Biomedical Prevention and HIV.
Care Resource’s Medical Director, Dr. Sheryl Zayas is leading a session on Sexual Transmitted Infections, Special Communities, and care at the health center that serves the transgender community.
According to Dr. Zayas, “Care Resource’s goal is to provide quality, compassionate, and informed care for our patients.
